Since its first issue was published in 2007, The Southern Way has become the acknowledged definitive journal on the history and heritage of the Southern Railway and the Southern Region of British Railways. Now under the editorship of Peter Waller, as always, four issues will be published in the course of 2024. Each contains a mixture of articles and photo features on various aspects of the SR including rolling stock, infrastructure, operations and personalities. The Southern Way remains the essential read for all who are interested in the SR and those engaged in modelling it.
Among the features and articles in Issue No. 65 are:
The Brighton Atlantics | Second-hand Southern | Class 4VEP EMUs | Southern Engine Sheds in London | The Crystal Palace (High Level) Branch | Class M7 Tribute | Folkestone, Hythe & Sandgate Tramway | A Day in the Life | Corrigenda
