Finn's Garden Friends

Rachel Lawston is a children’s author, book designer and natural history enthusiast. She is a keen amateur orchid hunter, birdwatcher and bat detector! She has worked with many publishers as a designer, including Walker Books and Penguin Random House. She loves volunteering with education at WWT London Wetland Centre in Barnes, where husband Paul is the Learning Manager.

Lia Visirin was born in a small town in beautiful Transylvania, surrounded by mountains, fortresses and castles. A passion for drawing was there from the start: Lia would draw on everything she could! Nature, old photographs, childhood memories and little things that she observes all inspire her. She employs traditional and digital media in her artwork. Lia graduated in Art and Design at the University of Cluj-Napoca, while working with local printing houses on children’s books and magazines.
