Nicholas Hasluck
Nicholas Hasluck studied law in Western Australia, then Oxford, before practising law in Perth and becoming a Supreme Court Judge. Twice short-listed for the Miles Franklin Prize, he has written 15 works of fiction, including 'Dismissal' and 'The Bellarmine Jug', winner of The Age Book of the Year Award. According to a reviewer in 'The Weekend Australian', as a Judge and accomplished novelist, he is one of only two living Australians with such an achievement. The London 'Financial Times' has called Nicholas Hasluck ‘a truly important writer’.
