Stephen C. Compton has collected traditional eighteenth-to-twentieth-century North Carolina ceramics for over three decades. He has articles in Ceramics in America, American Ceramic Circle Journal, Journal of the American Art Pottery Association, and Journal of Early Southern Decorative Arts.
