William Papas

William Papas was a famous cartoonist and artist-reporter, before becoming a celebrated children's author-illustrator. His series of books, originally published in a collaboration with Oxford University Press, are full of wit, energy and a dazzling, unique style. He received a lifetime achievement prize from the Kate Greenaway awards. As contemporary fables, his books have stood the test of time and his use of line and colour remain unforgettable.
