Colin Smyth Ltd. Was formed in 1965, publishing its first book in the following year, and Colin Smyth has lived and worked in Gerrards Cross in Buckinghamshire since 1967. Apart from publishing Terry Pratchett’s first book The Carpet People and his next four novels, the company has specialized in publishing 19^th and 20^th century Irish literature and criticism, Irish myth and folklore, heraldry and orders of knighthood, fly-fishing, and parapsychology.
